Well in theory if you pull a guy over for a short corner the defense has to send someone out to guard him which makes for more room in the box. They actually got free three times in the first half on corners (Futty’s man all three times) but they were weak headers.

Watching R. Johnson I think he is suffering most from the loss of Silvestre. He made a number of runs yesterday that Silvestre would have served him but Futty/AJB just don’t have that skill.

“Why does Chivas USA put two players over the ball on corner kicks? Makes no sense to take a player out of action on a corner.”

At several points they had three players over the ball.

Not even from a good shooting position, just to serve the ball into the box.

Caleb’s a young coach. He’s got a lot of complaining to do before he gets the sir Alex treatment from the officials. But it’s got to start somewhere. I like him putting the refs on notice.

In Dallas this week on business, will join the TA in Frisco tomorrow night.

I know many people in Dallas, but no FCD fans. I assume they do exist, & a few will appear tomorrow night, but we’ll see.

Met coach Porter, Diego V, & Frederic @ the airport yesterday. All were very gracious, CP in particular. Shook my hand, asked my name, thanked me for supporting the team on the road. Class act!
